Send a quick text to one consignor, a few, or everyone at once, and read their replies in Rose. Rose can also text appointment reminders and sales news for you. Texts come from Rosebot, with your store’s name on every one.
Text from Rosebot or Messages
Click TEXTS in the Rosebot window (it turns teal so you know you’re texting) or use TEXTS (SMS) in Contracts → MESSAGES.
One person or everyone
Text one person, people you pick, all consignors, all vendors or everyone. Rose skips anyone who hasn’t said yes and tells you who.
Never miss a reply
When someone texts back, the ASK ME bubble above Rosebot (or the MESSAGES button) shows how many new texts are waiting.
Reminder texts
Add one text reminder to a pick-up, drop-off or appointment: 1 hour to 2 days before.
Sales texts
A daily summary at 6 pm on days they sold, or a text the moment something sells with SMS INSTANT.
Consent built in
Only people who said START get texts. STOP ends them, START brings them back, and nothing automatic goes out before 8 am or after 9 pm.
Set it up
- Choose an SMS planGo to Administration → Subscription Plans, click SUBSCRIBE on a plan and pay with one of your store’s e-mails. Then click REFRESH FROM HUBSPOT AND SQUARE.
- Turn texting onIn Administration → Settings → TEXTING (SMS), tick TEXTING, choose who pays for sales texts, daily or instant, reminders, and where you text from. Click SAVE TEXTING SETTINGS.
- Get their OKOpen a contract in Contracts, click ALTER, and in TEXT MESSAGES tick START once they said yes. Consignors can also opt in themselves in myPortal → MY ACCOUNT.
- Send your first textClick Rosebot, then TEXTS. Pick a person (or a group), type your message and press send.

Questions
What does it cost?
Store plans start at $15 a month for 300 texts (SMS STARTER), up to SMS INSTANT with 10,000 texts and instant sales texts. Refills add 500 texts for $12. You can also let consignors buy their own text alerts in myPortal.
Who can send texts?
Staff with the texting rights in User Maintenance. Group texts have their own right, so you can let staff text one person without letting them text everyone.
What if someone replies STOP?
Texting ends for that number straight away, at every store. If they reply START later, it turns back on.
What happens at the plan limit?
Rose e-mails you a refill link at 80%. At the limit, texts stop until next month or a refill; e-mails carry on as usual.
Do I need Rose Pro?
Yes. Texting is part of Rose Pro, plus an SMS plan.
Do my consignors need Portal Pro to get texts?
No. Consignors and vendors don’t need Portal Pro or any other myPortal plan. When you let them buy their own text alerts, SMS DAILY, SMS INSTANT or SMS INSTANT PLUS can be the only subscription they have. When your store pays, they just say yes to texts in MY ACCOUNT.
