1. The text message program
Consignor Connect, LLC (“Consignor Connect”, “we”) provides Rose, software that consignment and resale stores use to run their business, and myPortal, where the store’s consignors and vendors see their accounts. Stores that turn on texting can send text messages (SMS) to their consignors and vendors through our assistant, Rosebot. Every text starts with the store’s name and is sent by Consignor Connect on that store’s behalf.
Texts are only sent to people who said yes (see How you opt in). Agreeing to texts is never a condition of consigning, selling or buying anything.
2. What we text
- Appointment reminders for pick-ups, drop-offs and appointments you have with the store.
- Sales and payout notices, such as a daily summary of what sold or a text when an item sells, with a link to your account in myPortal.
- Account notices from the store, such as items to pick up, payout days and store closures.
- Conversations: replies from the store’s staff when you text back.
You can choose which of these you get: appointment reminders and sales texts can each be turned on or off.
3. How you opt in
You can agree to texts in either of two ways:
- In myPortal (online): sign in, open MY ACCOUNT → MY.SETTINGS, enter your mobile number, tick “YES, TEXT ME AT MY MOBILE NUMBER” and click SAVE CHANGES. Next to the box we show: “Rosebot will text the MOBILE NUMBER above for the store: appointment reminders and news about your sales, with a link to your portal. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to end texts, HELP for help.”
- At the store (in person, by phone or on a signed form): the store’s staff ask whether you want texts. Only if you say yes do they tick OK TO TEXT on your account in Rose, which shows them: “By ticking OK TO TEXT the consignor / vendor agrees to get texts from Rosebot for the store (appointment reminders and sales notices; message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to end, HELP for help). Only tick it when they said yes.”
We record when you agreed, who recorded it and where (Rose or myPortal). Your first text tells you it is from Rosebot for the store and how to stop.
4. How to stop and get help
- Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT) to any text to stop all texts. We confirm with one final text and send no more, from any store, until you opt in again.
- Reply START to get texts again.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us at 888-767-3677 or support@consignorconnect.com.
- You can also untick the box in myPortal, or ask the store to turn texts off.
5. Message frequency and costs
Message frequency varies with your account activity: usually no more than one sales summary a day, plus reminders for your appointments and replies in conversations you start. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Texts are sent between 8 am and 9 pm in the store’s time zone, except replies in a conversation you started. Texting is available for US mobile numbers.
6. Your mobile number and privacy
We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or text message opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your number and consent are used only to send the texts described here, and are shared only with the store you work with and with the service providers that deliver the messages for us (Twilio). See our Privacy Policy for more.
7. Example messages
