Choose how discounts and card fees affect consignor payouts

Payout rules decide how a sold item's consignor or vendor payout is worked out when the sale is posted: whether register discounts also reduce the item fee, and who absorbs discounts and card processing fees. For store owners and managers.

Questions

Will changing the rules change payouts I already owe?

No. Only sales posted after you save use the new rules. Sales already posted keep the payout they were given.

What does the EXAMPLE line show?

A $10.00 item with a $2.00 fee, 25% off at the register, a 40% split and a $0.30 card fee, worked out with your current choices: the fee used, the price sold, the card fee charged to the consignor and the payout.

We used to charge card fees only on some sales. Does that still work?

Yes. With card fees absorbed by the business, a sales line ticked APPLY.CARD still has its card fee taken from the payout.

Do I have to save the payout rules with the other settings?

No. Payout rules have their own SAVE PAYOUT RULES button; SAVE CHANGES at the top of SETTINGS does not save them.
