Save your store’s brands once. As you type in the BRAND field, your saved brands drop down and the rest of the name fills in – pick one, or keep typing. A new brand is saved with + or Enter, and Rose finds the brands you already use for you.
Pick, don't type
Type a letter or two in BRAND on an item or a take-in item: the matching saved brands drop down and the rest of the name fills in. Pick one, or keep typing to change it.
Add it on the spot
A brand that isn’t saved yet? Press + in the BRAND field, or Enter, and it’s there for next time.
Manage without leaving
The list icon next to + opens a small BRANDS window: add, edit or delete brands, close it, and carry on with your item or take-in.
Brands you already use
Categories → BRANDS looks through your items, sold items and paid items for brands, most used first. The ones used twice or more are ticked for you.
One spelling
NIKE, nike and Nike are the same brand: whatever case is typed, the saved spelling is used.
In myPortal too
Consignors and vendors entering their own items get the same suggestions and can add a new brand. Only the store can edit or delete brands.
Get started
- Open BRANDSGo to Categories → BRANDS. While the window opens, Rose looks through your items and sales for brands.
- Add the brands Rose foundUntick anything that isn’t a brand and press ADD SELECTED. NOT BRANDS hides the ticked ones so they aren’t offered again.
- Add or tidy your ownType a brand in New brand and press ADD (or Enter). The pencil fixes a spelling; the bin deletes.
- Use itOn INVENTORY → CREATE or a TAKE-IN item, start typing in BRAND and pick from the list.

Questions
Does renaming or deleting a brand change my items?
No. Items keep the brand they were saved with. The saved list is what’s offered when you type.
What if Rose suggests something that isn’t a brand?
Untick it, or tick it and press NOT BRANDS. It won’t be suggested again. Add it by hand later if you change your mind.
Can consignors change my brand list?
They can add a brand from their own item screen in myPortal. Editing and deleting is only in Rose.
I typed a brand but didn’t press +. Is the item still saved?
Yes. The item is saved with what you typed, exactly as before; the brand just isn’t added to the list.
